Maya, DogTrekker’s Director of Barketing™, says:

“It’s been a busy year for me since last spring, what with all the new responsibilities I’ve taken on here at the office and settling in with Rox and Dave. Things are pretty sweet for me now—which is a big relief.

Like many dogs of Carmel, I had a pretty great life back in the day. Then my owner died, and it all fell apart. It was a scary time I don’t like to think about too much, but luckily for me, Monterey Bay Labrador Retriever Rescue took me in, and I went to stay at Judy’s house. One day she got out the camera and had me pose for a picture (something I’ve gotten really good at since then). I didn’t know it at the time, but she sent it off to Rox and Dave, who were going through a sad time themselves because they’d recently lost Kayla.

Rox says it was the eyes. Whatever it was, it’s pretty much been love ever since. And now I’d like to share my good fortune with Blaise, another dog who’s at MBLRR looking for his new person.

Look, I admit I had a few rough spots, but Blaise… It’s lucky he’s so sweet and good-looking, because there is not one clue in his big handsome head. His previous family gave him no training at all, and now he’s 1 1/2.

OK, he’s learning. His sit is great. He’s getting better at coming when you call him. He gets along great with dogs and people alike, and a more affectionate guy you will not find. But seriously, folks, Blaise needs a family with a lot of love and a lot of structure so he becomes the awesome dog he was meant to be in the first place. Are you the one for him? Contact Judy and tell her Maya sent you.”
