While Mitchell’s Cove in unfenced, it backs to a cliff that serves as a natural barrier.
Elsewhere in Santa Cruz County, leashed dogs are permitted to accompany you on quite a few beaches, among them Lighthouse Field State Beach (also known at Its Beach) in town and several state beaches in the nearby communities of Aptos, Capitola and Davenport. To learn more, click here.
