Maya, Dogtrekker’s Director of Barketing, loves hiking on the 60-acre ranch, swimming in the dog-friendly pond, getting nose-to-nose with the horses, llamas, mini-donkeys and chickens (extensive fencing keeps dogs safely separated) and spending the evenings with her parents in the luxury lodge style home.
The two-bedroom, 1,700-square-foot, single-story lodge, which sleeps up to six, has many amenities (including a jetted soaking tub and double shower). Only one party at a time is accommodated, so you and yours will be the only guests at the ranch.
Hosted stays can include barn animal feeding, petting and learning plus romantic surprises and, ahem, “marriage proposal assistance” where your dog delivers a ring! Have your own horses? Bring ‘em along or ride one of the ranch horses!
Dog-friendly was top of mind when the property was developed. In addition to the swimming pond, hiking trails and other amenities on the property, the home has easy-to-clean stained concrete or tile floors and furniture that repels pet hair.
Both the hosted guest house when the innkeepers are in residence and the private vacation rental if you or your dog need more privacy are easy to view and book on the Dog & Pony Ranch calendar.
