Made up of three valleys, the area includes the five cities of Danville, Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton and San Ramon. There are a variety of attractions for visitors with each community showcasing their unique history, culture and values.
The Livermore Wine Valley is one of California’s oldest wine regions with history telling us that Spanish missionaries first planted grapes in the 1760’s. The picturesque landscape of the Valley houses about 40 wineries tucked into its rolling hills, many which welcome two-legged and four-legged visitors. The regions boutique labels are produced in small lots and not widely known, which makes it all the more fun to go exploring with your trusty dog at your side.
After an afternoon of wine tasting or hiking one of the numerous dog-friendly trails, you and Fido might be ready to grab some grub. Never fear, you’ll have no trouble finding a dog-friendly patio for a bite, and if you don’t want to head home, many of the hotels in the Tri-Valley welcome canine guests.
Next time your dog is begging for an outing, why not “tri” something different and explore all the Tri-Valley has to offer.
