So you’re on the go, Rover’s in the back seat getting restless and you need to find a place to stretch all six of your legs? Just pick up your smartphone and open the DogTrekker mobile app, which made its debut last year and quickly won thousands of fans. Use the “Nearby” button to find dog parks and places to stay, eat, hike, beach it or otherwise have fun within a few miles of where you are. For each listing, the app provides descriptions, distances from your location, driving directions, even a “favorites” button to save for later.
You can also use the app to find dog-friendly establishments and activities in cities, counties and regions all over California. Take it with you: we’re everywhere your dog wants to be, from the redwoods of Mendocino County to Santa Cruz to Greater Palm Springs in Southern California.
