Seven of Nick’s 12 cottages are dog-friendly, but with tons of amenities to enjoy, two-legged guests don’t get shorted. Room amenities include down comforters, wood-burning fireplaces and heated bathroom floors, while dog amenities include beds, dishes and treats. Four-leggers are welcome to join their uprights on a waterfront patio along the pier, which is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktail hour.
Menu selections, showcasing the bounty of local farmers and fishermen, will leave you panting for more, and now some of them (along with many others) have been memorialized in a new cookbook, “Table With a View: The History and Recipes of Nick’s Cove,” written by resort proprietor Dena Grunt and published by Cameron & Company. The culinary history of Nick’s celebrates the historic restaurant, bar and award-winning farm-to-table cuisine, replete with recipes handed down from resort chefs.
