Vina Castellano is an 8-acre Sierra Foothill vineyard located amidst the 40-year-old Mendez Family Ranch in beautiful Auburn, California. The Spanish-style winery’s tasting room and grounds are dog-friendly.
The winery offers an intimate setting with wine tasting at the bar or bistro in their stone-barrel cave. The friendly and passionate staff will walk you through the list of Spanish and Rhone wines along with a little family history.
The seasonal Cabana Bar at Vina Castellano is located by the pond on the property and opens on Mother’s Day and runs through September. There are many tables situated by the water.
You can buy wine by the glass, sangria, and wine cocktails and build your own picnic with selections from the winery’s Picnic Tier Program. Or, sit at the island Gazebo, on the dock, or at any of the Adirondack chairs sprinkled about the lawn. You can bring your own blanket or inquire about borrowing our picnic rounds for blanket picnics.
