Trinidad State Beach

Trinidad State Beach

Trinidad State Beach is a long stretch of sandy beach just north of the Trinidad Harbor and pier.

Easy access with plenty of parking makes this a great spot to stop and stretch your legs or stay longer and walk this scenic section of the California coast.

South of the pier and Trinidad Head, is Indian Beach; a good spot for tide pooling and kayaking.

College Cove, the northernmost section of this state beach, is a popular beach with sheltered waters that are safe to enter under the right conditions.

College Cove also has fascinating rocks and tidepools to explore. It is a short hike through the woods, across open bluffs, and past seasonal wildflowers down to the beach. There is a natural arch near the north end of the beach. Low tide is the best time to visit.
