Forbes Creek Group Campground is located on the southeast shore of Sugar Pine Reservoir in a cedar and pine forest overlooking the reservoir. It is near the North Fork of the American River with access to trails and swimming.
Campsites at Forbes Creek Group Campground have fire rings and picnic tables. Barbecue grills are available as well. There are vault toilets and a trailer dump station on site.
To get there from I-80: Take Foresthill Road exit for 17 miles to the town of Foresthill. Continue on the road for 9 miles to Sugar Pine Road. Turn left and continue on Sugar Pine Road for 9 miles. Take the left fork and drive 4 1/2 miles to boat ramp. Turn right and head up the hill about 7 miles.
