Yosemite National Park
The world-famous Yosemite National Park was designated a World Heritage Site in 1984. Yosemite is internationally recognized for its granite cliffs, waterfalls, clear streams, giant sequoia groves, lakes, mountains, meadows, glaciers, and biological diversity. Almost 95 percent of the park is designated wilderness.
Dogs are welcome on a few of the developed trails in the valley, including the hike to Mirror Lake. If you're looking for a dog-friendly hotel, check out nearby Tenaya Lodge.
