Food trucks are all the rage these days, and wineries increasingly are calling upon them to cater not just special events, but lunch and dinner. On Fridays, Marks The Spot Food Truck pulls into Flora Springs Vineyards in St. Helena from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Relax with your dog on the patio and enjoy gourmet sliders with a $5 glass of wine; you can't beat it. The truck circles back to Flora Springs every third Friday from May through October to serve dinner, and on fourth Fridays it joins other mobile vendors at Sebastiani Vineyards in Sonoma for a food and wine fest starting at 5:30 p.m. And speaking of Sebastiani, dogs as well as their people are welcome to enjoy the wineryís Friday Night Music Series featuring hot local bands from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The series runs through October 28.
Got a weekday free for a tasting excursion? A culinary adventure on wheels is offered Tuesdays at Chateau Montelena, one of the Napa Valleyís best properties for enjoying a bottle of wine, a loaf of bread and the company of your four-legged friend. The October 4 event is the last of the season, so donít miss the chance to enjoy scrumptious Indian street food served from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. by Curry Up Now. Dog-friendly Simi Winery in Healdsburg winds up its Keep On Truckin' Wednesdays series on October 12 with several mobile food purveyors serving up yummy finger food from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Live music is part of the scene; savor the goods with Fido on the outdoor deck or next to the fountain under the redwood trees.
